Ruth and Mooi Jone were completely healed of knee arthritis while Stanley and Christabelle were relieved of pain in their shoulders. When asked, Stanley was frequently in pain for a couple of months, but was gloriously and completely healed last Sunday!

And that’s not all! Jesus also healed Tan Ban Hing of a tingling noise in his ear that morning as various believers (Ps. Pang, Ps. Grace, Kian, Wei Yun, Shoen, Hau Meng and Lily) exercised their authority over these sicknesses.

Two weeks back, I had a request by my sister-in-Christ (Jessme) to pray for her best friend, Dianne Lim; I promptly asked if Pastor Albert Kang would be available to visit Dianne together. Unfortunately, all three Pastors from FaithLine were already swamped for the week, and Pastor Albert asked me to proceed with the visit, assuring me that I had the same authority and power.

I came to know that Dianne was diagnosed with brain tumor and we talked for quite a bit, as preparation before the healing encounter. As we conversed, I felt the pain in my head and knew that this was an indication of her pain.

The fantastic thing about Dianne was that she wanted to be healed, and she had faith that tremendously helped the healing encounter.

After getting to know a little more about her ailment, I proceeded with healing commands in Jesus’ name. Mustering faith, I claimed and commanded the tumor to be gone in Jesus name. After the commands, I felt the pain in my head disappear. I knew this meant that the tumor has disappeared, and that the Kingdom of God has come upon Dianne. I then asked her to do another MRI scan to confirm the miracle.

When she got up from a sitting position however, she felt giddy. But the giddiness was short-lived, and was instantaneously gone after healing commands were spoken. She then took a few steps and started walking without having to hold railings or the wall for support. Before the commands, she could hardly take a few steps without feeling wobbly. Her sense of balance returned completely after the healing encounter.

Moreover, she could now turn her head from side to side without a vertigo attack or any nauseating feelings. When it was time to leave, Dianne walked me to the gate and commented that she could now slip on her sandals much easier compared to the days before. I reminded her that our God is a God that heals, and I take no credits other than spending time with her.

Our God is a mighty God!

Last week she went for her operation to remove the tumor and to the doctor’s amazement, the tumor could not be found! All glory and praise to Jesus!

Trained ministers of the Elijah Challenge led by Subodh Kumar Jena had a fruitful Feeding Event in a remote village called PangaPada among tribal people. At the event, the people were not only fed physically, but received spiritual nourishment as well.

The Lord was present, and affirmed His Word and Power among these people as many powerful miraculous healings took place. Below are just four of the many testimonies:-

1. Govinda’s fractured right knee was completely healed in Jesus’ name

Four years ago, an elderly man named Govinda went into the jungle to collect leaves for supper but he fell and fractured his right knee.  Since that unfortunate event, Govinda had been confined to bed and was unable to work. Because he had no money, he couldn’t get any medical treatment. It was tough, and Govinda survived solely on the government for rice and Rs. 200 (less than US$3) for his monthly pension. But the Lord had other plans for Govinda. At the Feeding Event, the Lord touched him and healed him completely! He stood up and walked around freely with no pain!

2. Raibari’s incurable life condition defeated

An elderly woman named Raibari suffered from rheumatism for two years along with pain and swelling in her leg. The doctor informed her that since there was no cure, she had to take medicine every day. At times when the pain was so severe, she needed an injection. But because of her poor financial state, Raibari could not afford any medicine and hence, suffered a great deal of pain. Raibari attended the Feeding Event and there, the Lord touched her. She testified that she experienced complete healing in her body from our Lord. She couldn’t believe it as her doctor had assured her that her incurable condition was for life! But what is impossible with man is possible with the Lord Jesus!

3. Chintamani’s throat infection gone when Jesus touched her

A sister named Chintamani was suffering from a throat infection since the month of April. She had a problem swallowing food so she could only take liquids. Praise the Lord, at the Event she was touched and healed by the Lord Jesus. She testified that normally she ate rice three times a day, but since her throat got infected she could not eat any more rice. That day she felt the Lord’s miraculous healing touch in her throat and she was able to swallow freely!

4. Babu, the village Chief healed of pricking lung pain

Babu, the village chief, used to have pain in his lungs from time to time. It was painful like somebody poking him with a needle. He had been taking medicine for two years. But that day the pain suddenly stopped when we ministered to him. He shared that earlier a witch doctor had attempted to use witchcraft to give him relief, but nothing happened.

The best part was that an estimated 400 Hindus accepted the Christ through that event! Our God is alive, and both wonderful and mighty. All glory to Jesus alone!

For the Kingdom of God is not only a matter of word, but of power! Simply incredible. God didn’t just remove this boy’s back pain and grow his leg, He grew his faith in the God of signs and wonders too. All praise and glory to Jesus!

Pastor Albert had his mission team leader, Brother Ben, to put the finger into his deaf ear and commanded after him. The Lord confirmed His promise by opening the deaf ear. Today, Brother Khoo has no need to use hearing aid anymore. He has been completely healed!

Since then, Brother Khoo has been ministering to the infirm with the same authority and power that the Lord has given to the whole Church. (Luke 9 and 10). He led a mission team to a third-world country in August 2014 to minister healing and preach the Good News to the people there. You can do the same – God can use you to touch others with His miracles and the Gospel message.

Last night (17 July) I was driving back from a wake service with my mum from Kuala Lumpur. It was one of the rare occasions we really get to sit and chat without interruptions. The conversation somehow turned to her eye condition which seemed to be deteriorating. She has been having problems of bad floaters since her retinal tear, severe dry and uncomfortable eyes, and distortions when she reads.

It occurred to me that I’ve been hearing about this condition of hers for a while now but had never taken authority to heal the condition. So in the car with one hand over her eyes I started to command healing in Jesus name over every specific condition. We then kept asking her to try to read signs and boards and she said there was improvement.

When we reached her home, I went in and continued taking authority over the condition and then asked her to start reading. She confirmed the major floaters had gone and when she read, unlike the past where after a few seconds the words started to overlap and she lost her bearing, she was able to read clearly lengthy portions of the book without any distortion.

This morning I checked on the condition and she confirmed that she woke up with clear comfortable eyes. She usually wakes up daily with dry, itchy and uncomfortable eyes and had to constantly use eye drops. Praise God for the healing!

Indeed Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. Just as He healed while on earth, today in Jesus’ name we can receive healing not just from our physical sickness, but our emotional struggles, demonic oppression and more than anything, the power of sin over our lives.

It was easy for me to preach. The congregation was most receptive and Pastor Davy Hermanus was instrumental in translating my English sermon into Indonesian. During the time for healing, the people responded to the call to receive their miracles. Indeed, the Holy Spirit ministered to so many people.

An elderly man who had pain in his knees was seen to squat and stood up several times. Others with chronic pain in various parts of the body were healed. A man with itch all over his body found relief immediately. What a powerful testimony to the glory of the Lord.

According to him, he heard a cracking sound while attempting to lift the weights. No doubt, the pain that followed was truly immense and was clearly evident on his face during cell group on Friday. He was in pain all the time – be it walking or sitting. I told him that I wanted to pray for him, and helped him upstairs away from the fellowship. After Justin took some time to repent before God, I laid hands on his lower back and commanded the pain to leave in the name of Jesus. The pain was persistent, but our persistence was greater.

Little by little the pain dissipated. After numerous commands, the pain was completely gone! His back was fully restored and he could stand straight and reach for his toes without any pain whatsoever. We thanked Jesus for the amazing miracle and he then skipped downstairs to tell the others about the miracle Jesus did for him. What’s amazing was that he went back to the gym the next day! Today, Justin deadlifts 90KG, without any pain. Praise God for His wonderful works!

Aland then walked around the room with his “new” leg, exclaiming that there was more balance in his step. All praise and glory to God for the healing that took place!

Dr. Davy challenged all to try their hands in healing the infirm. The healing miracles among the participants were fast and amazing. One brother got one of his leg lengthened to match the other leg so that now he is standing normal. Frozen shoulders were healed. Arthritic joints were healed of pain. Demons were also cast out of one person. An elderly sister came under the power of the Holy Spirit and fell to the ground. She was also healed of her infirmity. There were other healing miracles that we have yet to ascertain.

The children of Dr. Davy and Sister Paulin, namely Pierre, Stefan, Michelle and Angeline all exercise their God-given authority and power in healing the infirm in their daily activities. That night, these children were also boldly ministering to the sick… just as they have been doing during their recent ministry tour in East Malaysia. Praise the Lord for this family of ministers. We pray that they will continue to impact many others by their ministry.

After the service, An elderly brother who had back pain and leg pain approached us. We commanded healing and waited for his reaction. He just looked kindly into our eyes and said, “No more pain”.

Another elderly uncle saw a middle aged brother being healed of his hearing impairment, he said that he was deaf in one ear. After the first command, he thanked us and said he was hearing something through the deaf ear. We told him something wasn’t enough. He had to hear clearly. After the second command, his hearing had become much better and then on the third command, we tested him by closing his good ear and speaking to his bad ear. Praise the Lord! The elderly brother said that he could hear well. Later, when we passed by him we asked him again and his answer was positive – he could hear from that previously deaf ear. We rejoiced with him.

This type of instant miracles always thrills our souls. May we never lost this sense of wonder and awe whenever the Lord confirms His Word by His miracles. Glory to His name!

Within the period of 10 years, my health condition worsened and slid rapidly down the steep slope of pain. The little known genetic disorder, ankylosing spondylitis, was taking over my life. This is a chronic inflammatory arthritis of the spine, also known as ‘bamboo spine’. It is an inherited autoimmune disease that causes the joints in the spine to fuse up and there is no cure.

I did not realise the seriousness of this disabling disease even though it had caused a hairline crack in my spine when I was only 18 years old. As I grew older, I began to experience regular bouts of back pain and numbness of the limbs.

After passing 40, the pain had increased to a point where it affected the movements of my limbs. My spine had fused up, causing my back to hunch. My health deteriorated further and pain became my regular companion. To manage the pain, I popped ibuprofen, a powerful painkiller. On bad days, I had to take up to eight pills – the maximum dosage permitted in a day. Standing, walking or sitting, for a prolonged period, became a problem. Before too long, I sought the help of walking aids such a walking stick or cane. I had to use a wheelchair for long distance travels.

My Merciful God

There were nights when my back was so painful that sleeping became impossible. I had to lie face down like a turtle over a few stacked layers of pillows.

During every chronic pain attack, I cried to God for help. I had no strength of my own; I could only cling to Him. On many occasions, I had prayed and asked God to either heal or take me home to heaven. He didn’t. Instead, He brought the peace of heaven into my struggling soul. The throbbing pain did not stop but His presence helped me overcome many a tough night.

Later I learned that God was not silent about my pain but set the motion of healing in process. How this happened could only be described as the mercy and grace of God in operation.

God’s Special Plan

It was our dentist, Dr. Thiagan Sinnadurai, a dedicated servant of God who challenged my wife Grace and me to attend a healing seminar organised by his house church. I was not keen to attend because I knew that I did not have the gift of healing. For over 20 years of my ministry, I did not see many successful healing miracles after my prayers. In fact, a few people died after I prayed.

On that hot day of 8 December 2005, Grace drove me to the healing seminar. I was not in the most amiable mood. I had work to do and my nerve was also not accommodating. When we could not find a parking space, I was elated. Now, I could miss the seminar and give a great excuse to Dr. Thiagan. However, God had other plan and He opened up a nice parking space for us. Still mumbling under my breath, with Grace helping me, I walked slowly to the training location at Bangsar.

God’s Healing Approach

That day was to become a defining moment of my life and ministry. Pastor William Lau, an American-Chinese, with a gentle Christ-like spirit, was systematic in his teaching. In his Elijah Challenge teaching, there were no strange doctrines or scary testimonies of being caught to heaven. This founder of the Elijah Challenge was not there to impress us with his theology but simply allowing the scriptural verses to speak for themselves.

Verse upon verse, precept upon precept, line upon line, my eyes were opened. Suddenly everything made sense. Why didn’t they teach me this in the bible seminary? Even after earning a Master in Divinity, this truth in the Bible had completely eluded me.

Why was I not told that there is a difference between the gift of healing and the authority to heal? Why didn’t the professors teach us how to use the kingly authority to do spiritual warfare and heal the sick in the context of preaching the Gospel?

The most fascinating part was when Pastor Lau said that he would demonstrate this God-given power and authority by healing some of the participants in the name of Jesus. He did exactly that. A few participants were healed of the back pain, leg pain and other infirmities.

Then he invited some of us to try. I remember feeling the pain in my own back and facing an Indian pastor who claimed to have three numb toes. With a fellow participant, I laid my hand on the toes and commanded the feeling to return in the name of Jesus. To my great surprise, the pastor claimed that feeling had returned to his toes and he quickly testified to the other participants. That was my first experience in having immediate healing result after ministering.

The Elijah Challenge

I was to attend the same seminar another three more times and then to take an advance training with Pastor Lau. Since then, my ministry has been completely transformed. It is filled with power and miracles which is line with what the bible says about the kingdom of God as not being a matter of talk but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20).

Grace and I had personally healed many in the name of Jesus with the God-given authority and power. In the last five years, we have trained Christians from both the mainline and Pentecostal/Charismatic churches in seminars and training sessions. We have the joy of seeing our trainees healing the infirm in the name of Jesus and literally thousands are being miraculously healed.

Many Healing Miracles

This testimony from one of our many healing mission trips to the Philippines is among the more interesting ones:

The elderly lady sat transfixed as after many years, for the first time, she could clearly hear the voice of her daughter. I had just placed my fingers into the elderly lady’s impaired ears and commanded them to be opened in the name of Jesus. Then to test whether she was really healed, the daughter went to about one metre behind her and began calling out words and phrases in a normal voice. The elderly lady repeated every word and phrase accurately – she was healed and she could hear clearly.

God’s Special Touch

What happened to my own dilapidating condition? Without much fanfare, I was miraculously healed. While I was busy healing others in the name of Jesus, God was quietly healing me. One day, I got up without pain. For a short period of time, I still carried my walking stick just in case it was only a brief remission. After a while, it seemed silly to carry the walking stick when there was no pain and so I left it at home.

There were many occasions when the pain threatened to return but my dear wife was ever ready to rebuke the pain for me. Today, after five years, the pain recurrence has reduced to almost zero. I still have to be careful not to lift heavy stuffs or jump off the stage while preaching. The Lord is merciful and Grace and I are forever grateful.
